Installation
NMMtoWrye is a tool that allows to use NMM's installer (with support for omod and fomod) with Wrye BAIN.
- Use Nexus Mod Manager
- To download and update mods from skyrim- or tesnexus
- Use Wrye Bash Installer
- To install mods without fomod installers
- To manage, uninstall and delete mods
- Use NMMtoWrye and BAIN
- To install mods with fomod (or other) installers
Prerequisites
- Skyrim installed and working properly
- Wrye Bash installed and working properly (help)
- Run Bash once so it can initialize
- Bash stores its mod data in a separate folder, which I will call %BashData% here. Replace this with your actual path when following these steps. On my machine, it is "C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Skyrim Mods". In this folder is a directory called "Bash Installers", where Bash will store the mod archives.
- Nexus Mod Manager installed and working
- For Skyrim, change the Mod Directory to "%BashData%/Bash Installers"
- Move or copy all mod archives that you already have into the new Mod Directory
- You should see them in Wrye Bash now
With this set-up, you can download mods in NMM and install them with Bash. However, some mods cannot be installed with Bash because they contain an install script or are not packaged correctly.
Set-Up
- Download the zip and extract it in a folder of your choice.
- If you don't use Nexus for other games, you can just overwrite the existing NMM installation
- For now, only Skyrim is supported
- Start the NexusClient.exe that was included
- You have to use this version of NMM to install mods that cannot be installed with Bash
- Set-up Skyrim
- Mod Directory: "%BashData%/Bash Installers"
- Install Info: "%BashData%/Install Info"
Installing a mod
- Install one or more mods using the modified NexusClient
- Multiple mods will be packaged into one
- Click "Install to Bash"
- Confirm the dialog
- In Bash, install the BAIN-ready version of the mod
